Who We Are

Malenu Foundation Incorporated USA, is a not for profit organization driven by a simple yet profound mission: to elevate the lives of those who are often overlooked. Established as a beacon of hope, our organization extends a supportive hand to the aged, widows, and children in rural communities, striving to enhance their health, well-being, and overall life opportunities. The foundation was established with a mission to inspire hope and activate life, particularly among vulnerable populations. Recognizing the challenges faced by rural communities, Malenu Foundation aims to improve healthcare access, empower individuals through education, and foster community development.

A specific focus is placed on addressing health crises. Free healthcare programs: offering medical tests, treatment, medication, and surgeries. Educational Support: Providing financial aid for school fees and college admissions for indigent students. Infrastructure Development: Renovation of healthcare centers and installation of solar streetlights in communities. Social Welfare & Empowerment: Programs targeting widows, children, and marginalized groups to improve their living conditions. The foundation is based in the United States (McDonough, GA) but operates extensively in Africa Nigeria, particularly it just concluded its yearly humanitarian activities and event in Odosimadegun (Ijebu Northeast Local Government, Ogun State Nigeria). Its projects have also impacted nearby local governments like Ijebu Ode and Odogbolu in Nigeria Africa. The foundation has been actively engaged in humanitarian work for several years, with a notable impact in 2024 through several flagship projects. These include a medical mission scheduled for December in every year, where rural communities are impacted.

Meet Our Founder

The visionary and founding President: Prince Dr. Adekunle Ogunfuwa is a royal son from the Adegbo Ruling House of Odosimadegun, in Ijebu Northeast Local Government area of Ogun State, Nigeria. He obtained his medical degree from prestigious Volgograd Medical Academy in Russia. He completed his housemanship at Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta and National Youth Service Corps at Institute of Agriculture Research and Training (IAR&T), Ibadan. He worked at a private hospital in Ibadan before he founded ASOM Hospital in Lagos. .

He proceeded to United States of America for specialist training in Internal medicine at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine, New York City and from there he completed subspecialty fellowship training in geriatric medicine at University Hospital of the Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio. He has 34 years of medical practice experience and over 20 years of specialist experience in the fields of Internal medicine and geriatric medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Adekunle Ogunfuwa is a passionate self-giving medical luminary who consistently give back to the society, his network of professional colleagues are spiritedly enthusiastic to support his humanitarian vision, and are ever ready partners on Malenu Foundation projects and programs.
